dc.description.abstract The "Doctor Appointment" system is designed to enhance the efficiency of appointment scheduling and management within medical establishments such as clinics and hospitals. This web-based solution addresses the shortcomings of traditional manual scheduling methods, which often result in inefficiencies, scheduling conflicts, and increased administrative burdens. The system's primary objectives are to centralize appointment management, provide an intuitive online booking platform for patients, and facilitate seamless schedule management for doctors. It also aims to reduce administrative workload by offering comprehensive oversight and data management capabilities. The system was developed using PHP for server-side scripting, HTML for web content structuring, CSS for styling, and MySQL for data management. Apache server software was used to host the application. The development process included a detailed requirements analysis to capture the needs of administrators, doctors, and patients. Following this, the system was designed and implemented, with rigorous testing conducted across various stages to ensure reliability and performance. This included unit testing to verify individual components, validation testing to confirm functional requirements, integration testing to assess the interaction between modules, and functional testing to simulate real-world use. The results of the implementation indicate that the "Doctor Appointment" system successfully meets its objectives. It provides patients with a user-friendly interface to book and manage appointments online, enhances doctors' ability to view and manage their schedules, and gives administrators efficient tools for overseeing the appointment process. The system performed reliably during testing, with effective integration of components and robust security measures. User feedback has been positive, highlighting the system’s ease of use and significant improvements in managing appointments. Overall, the "Doctor Appointment" system demonstrates its effectiveness in modernizing appointment management and improving operational efficiency in medical settings. en_US
