Abstract:
One of the biggest problems faced by poultry producers in poor nations like Rwanda is producing large quantities of food with minimal resources. Like other developing nations, one of the most urgent problems in Rwanda is the need for agriculture to raise the output of production per input unit .In order to handle the crisis, it is crucial to recognize the effective use of farmers' scarce resources and the availability technologies
The operations of poultry companies are optimized in terms of technical efficiency (TE).
In order to determine the technical efficiency level of the poultry farmers in the Rulindo area of the province of North, a representative sample of 60 poultry farms in three sectors were chosen for the research of technical efficiency (TE). Only technical efficiency (TE) levels were examined, and efficiency-influencing components were concurrently evaluated using the efficiency effect model and a Cobb-Douglas stochastic frontier production analysis approach.
. STATA version 15 and ML estimates (maximum likelihood estimations) of the efficiency impacts and frontier production function parameters were used to examine the data. The results demonstrated that flock size and feed intake were positively connected with egg production, whereas labor, water, and vaccination were shown to be irrelevant. His sample included 60 farmers who farmed layers, or birds raised for their eggs.
The TE efficiency effect model's results showed that age had a negative impact on the technical efficiency level of poultry farmers, while education, experience, and loan availability all significantly and favorably influenced farmer technical efficiency. The layer poultry farmers' estimated mean technical efficiency (TE) level was assessed at 89%.The study finds that by using resources and technology more effectively, it is possible to improve egg production output by 11% .

Policy interventions should concentrate more on the prominent effects of variables like education, farmer experience, and loan availability in an effort to boost poultry growers' productivity. The government and other pertinent parties encourage farmers to employ this type of equipment (environmental control shed and battery cage) in order to boost chicken production.
