Abstract:
The aim of this study is to analyze the contribution of loan management to the performance of commercial banks in Rwanda, a case study: I&M bank/main branch, period: 2020-2023, the objective of the study is To analyze the effectiveness of loan management in I&M Bank /Main Branch., to assess the contribution of loan management to the performance of I&M Bank/Main Branch. This research subdivided in four different chapters. First chapter is general introduction the second chapter is review of relate literature and present the description of conceptual review of the study and then gives conceptual framework. The chapter three is research methodology it contains the techniques and methods of data collection. Chapter four is presentation of research findings and discussion, this study will end by general conclusions and suggestions. Research methodology includes the planning, structuring and execution of a research, with the emphasis on the actual research process. Research methodology refers to a set of methods and techniques that are use when studying a particular subject or doing a particular thing chapter is data analysis and interpretation, it present the information collected, contains the analysis of secondary data from the field in related to the contribution of loan management to the performance of commercial bank in Rwanda, a case study of I&M Bank Main Branch, period: 2020-2023.With

data collected from the field Tale 4.5 presents the information related on recovering payments schedules for loans are flexible and manageable, 9.2% of respondents confirmed that recovering payments schedules for loans are flexible and manageable, and 90.8% of respondents confirmed that recovering payments schedules for loans are flexible and manageable. Many factors are origin of that performance but better loan management is main cause of the increase of its performance. With the data collected from the financial statement the researcher confirmed that there is good return on the amount of money Bank of Kigali invested, with the data collected from the field researcher confirmed that there are good performance of I&M Bank, and also researcher confirmed that all objective of this study were achieved and the hypothesis were verified and confirmed.
