The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the resource management on managerial performance of beverages companies in Rwanda, case of Bralirwa. This study has the following specific objectives: To determine the efficiency of resources management in Bralirwa Plc, to examine the performance of Bralirwa Plc in the period 2019-2023, to evaluate the effect of resource management on managerial performance of Bralirwa Plc. This Study is anchored on the Resource-Based View Theory and on the Shareholder Wealth Maximization (SWM) Theory. This research is descriptive research design, and the study population comprised 206 employees of Bralirwa Plc/Kigali office. Using simple random sampling technique, a sample size of 104 respondents was established through calculations carried by selecting 50% of employees from each department. The researcher used primary data in this study. A closed end questionnaire was utilized. Financial analysis was carried for secondary data gathering. Financial statements of Bralirwa Plc during 5 years period (2019-2023) were also analyzed. Descriptive research design and correlation analysis was utilized to assess the data and results generalized for the entire population, while multiple regression was used to test hypotheses. For research objective one, the results revealed that respondents confirmed that BRALIRWA PLC have effectives resources management through the analysis done on financial resources management with the overall mean is high 3.91 (Table 4.2), analysis on human resources management with the overall mean 3.47 (Table 4.3), and physical resources management with high mean 4.34 (Table 4.4). For research objective two, the financial analysis revealed that the ROA of BRALIRWA Plc were not efficient in 2020 as it was below 0.01, but in others years they are efficient and very good, and the more appreciable ROA happened in 2022 with 0.15 or 15%. While the analysis revealed that Bralirwa Plc has known efficient return on equity, except in 2020 where the ROE was 0.03. Those results show that the company is operating in better conditions. For research objective three, the correlation analysis reveals a strong positive and significant relationship between financial resources management, human resources management, and physical resources management, with a significance level of.000<0.01. The multiple regression revealed that nearly 98.0% of the total variations of performance of BRALIRWA PLC can be attributed to the changes in the value of the independent variables (financial resources management, human resources management, physical resources management) captured by the study model and at confidence level of 95%. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant effect of resource management on managerial performance of Bralirwa Plc. The study recommended Bralirwa to improve its ROA by prioritizing asset performance, efficiency, and performance through regular reviews, advanced technology investment, and operational workflow streamlining since 2021. |
