The research project aimed to assess the influence of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on the socio-economic development of Entrepreneurs in Rwanda, with two specific objectives. The first objective was to investigate the challenges faced by SMEs in contributing to this development, while the second objective aimed to examine the actual contribution of SMEs to the socio-economic development of Entrepreneurs in Rwanda. About the first objective, it explores the challenges encountered by SMEs as they endeavor to contribute to the socio- economic development of entrepreneurs. The data presented from Table 7 to table 14 consistently revealed a consensus among respondents regarding the significant challenges faced by Umukindo Center across various facets of its operations. These challenges are widely recognized and necessitate strategic attention and action by Umukindo Center and similar SMEs operating in Rwanda. Regarding the second objective, Table 15 highlights a consensus among respondents regarding long-term growth and innovation challenges faced by SMEs in Rwanda, including developing clear growth strategies, fostering innovation, diversifying product offerings, and identifying emerging market opportunities. Noteworthy challenges identified include limited access to finance, inadequate infrastructure, and restricted market access. The findings consistently reveal a consensus among respondents regarding the significant challenges faced by Umukindo Center across various facets of its operations. These challenges are widely recognized and necessitate strategic attention and action by Umukindo Center and similar SMEs operating in Rwanda. Furthermore, the study supports the hypothesis that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have a substantial positive impact on the socio-economic development of entrepreneurs in Rwanda. |
