dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was in GIKONDO, to identify the relationship between small and medium SMES and poverty reduction in Rwanda, case study: Selected SMEs in Gikondo Sector, Kicukiro district, period:2018-2022 the objective of the study were to identify the different services offered by SMEs enterprises and poverty reduction in Rwanda, This study is subdivided into four chapters. Chapter one general introduction. The second chapter indicated the literature review and some concept definitions of the study. The second chapter deal with the identification of sustainability of small and medium enterprises in Rwanda. The third chapter analysed the relationship between small and medium enterprises and poverty reduction in Rwanda.This chapter two was literature review provided a description of key concepts, are view of existing issues that have been explored and studied by different authors about the topic, it is basically related to the views extracted from books, internet, and the dissertation and tables written on the SMEs sector, and poverty reduction in Rwanda. Chapter two presents the methodology to be used in order carrying out this study. Practically it focuses on the research designs, sources of data, study population, sampling designs, sample size data collection methods and tools, data presentation, processing and analyses that are used by the researchers. hapter four contains data findings related to the SMES and poverty reduction in Rwanda, selected SMES in Gikondo sector, Kicukiro district, it point out the presentation of respondents, this chapter verify the hypotheses of this study. The table 4.5.present the types of contributions of SMES in Gikondo sector on poverty reduction, 53.7% of respondents answered that Employment, 13.9% of respondents confirmed Creation of entrepreneurship opportunities, 17.2% of respondents confirmed Business development, the 4.3% of respondents confirmed Making product, and the 10.7% of respondents confirmed that Poverty reduction, with the data collected from the respondents the researchers confirmed that the members of selected SMES in Gikondo increase its resources from the its activities. The table 4.13 shown the correlation which is 0.862 is significance level because it is in the interval between 0.862≤r<1. This means that the correlation is high level correlation between Selected SMEs in Gikondo and poverty reduction, the researchers to confirm that there is significant relationship between the two variables of this study.After analysis the findings and interpretation the objective of the study were verified and hypothesis were confirmed. en_US
