dc.description.abstract The objective of this project is to design and implement an automated lecturer attendance system using RFID technology, an Arduino Uno R3, and a 16x2 LCD display with I2C interface. The system aims to efficiently track and record the attendance of lecturers, ensuring accuracy and reducing manual intervention in the process. This project is motivated by the need to minimize absenteeism and provide an accurate, real-time attendance tracking solution in educational institutions. The significance of this study lies in its potential to streamline the attendance-taking process, reduce administrative workload, and offer a scalable and efficient solution for managing attendance records. By incorporating RFID technology, the system allows for quick and secure of lecturers using RFID cards, while the LCD display provides real-time feedback on attendance status. The methodology involves the integration of an RFID module with an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, which communicates with a database for storing attendance records. The system utilizes a 16x2 LCD display for providing user-friendly visual confirmation of attendance logs. The data collected is stored in a centralized database, which can be easily exported and analyzed. Initial findings indicate that the system is highly effective in reducing attendance-taking time and improving accuracy. Additionally, the system offers flexibility in deployment and can be scaled to accommodate larger groups of lecturers. Based on the results, it is recommended that further development include expanding the system to support cloud-based storage solutions and facial recognition as an additional verification method to enhance security. en_US
