Production of ceiling board from cement to wooddust

Abstract

This ceiling board from cement and wood dust are used as internal finishing materials as decorative in all construction industry and are used to cover the roof truss it can be used as insulation materials because it has good properties for it. Their production was based on industrial materials and done by my hand so we decided to use local waste materials like wood dust in the production it will reduce the pollution of environment, increasing the job creation and support Made in Rwanda policy as long as transforming the waste into new product it will solve the environmental hazard caused by discriminate of the waste materials.

During this project which has Dimension (60cm*60cm*2cm) was manufactured in wood dust the test have been carried out such as moisture content and result found are good for moisture content according to ASTM D1579 01(2023) say that moisture content of wood dust less than 6% is good type of wood dust to mix with wood fix glue, we use cypress wood dust because has lower moisture content.

This board works well and is reasonably priced, making it suitable for use as interior finishing element in any type of construction.
