Abstract:
This study investigates the causes of building failures in Gasabo District, Rwanda, and explores
measures to prevent them. By analyzing various factors such as poor construction practices,
substandard materials, inadequate designs, and environmental influences, the research identifies key
contributors to structural failures in the district. It also highlights preventive strategies like the
enforcement of construction regulations, proper material usage, and regular maintenance. The
findings aim to provide valuable insights for stakeholders, policymakers, and professionals in the
construction industry to enhance building safety and sustainability.
